My Horse Vinnie
Broken Pastern Bone, Chipped Bone and a Torn Ligame nt,
White Line Disease
For months my horse Vinnie was suffering from an un-explained
lameness that would seem to get better then get worse again. He has a lump above
his hoof, plus white line disease and seedy toe. Nothing we tried helped and I
didn't want to keep him on butte forever. My shoer that has been
there with me from the beginning of all of this suggested that I take
Vinnie to the see a specialist. So off we went to see this vet last
month (Oct) and he was diagnosed with a broken pastern bone, chipped bone
and a torn ligament in his back leg!! I was shocked. The vet wanted to
due surgery and put a plate in his leg and that was going to cost $5000, I
couldn't afford that and the only other alternative at the time was to put
him down as he was so severely lame, he could hardly walk.
I went home as wasn't happy and needed to find some sort of
alterative, so I posted an add on Bayequest with his problem and waited for
someone to help me. I got an email from a gal that told me about "Rapid
Response" she said she swears by this stuff and would give her horse
nothing else. So I went online and read what I liked so I decided to try
it. I put him on it last month (Oct) and 2 days later he was bucking and
kicking in the arena!!! Still limping to a degree but what a vast improvement
for not being able to walk to bucking and kicking.
My shoer had come out a week after that to replace a shoe and
could not believe the change in Vinnie.
So now its Nov and Vinnie has been on it for 2 months, the
shoer came out this past Saturday. Vinnie still had some issue's with that foot
but when we put him in the arena when he was all done, he put on
a show for us!! Bucking, kicking, hollering, running, we couldn't believe
it.
My shoer asked again, "what is that stuff you have
him on?" The vet says since he is doing so well he can be re-xrayed
in 3 months instead of 6 and can go back on very light lunging for
now a couple of times a week to see how he does..
I thought Vinnie's fate was sealed but thanks to
"rapid response" he gets better every day. I have told everyone I know
about this product and have started taking in myself.
